About

Hi! I'm Megan.

For most of my life I have lived among the rainy forests of Oregon.

Earlier this year, my partner and I decided to embark on a crazy adventure, traveling around the United States in search of landscapes and projects that inspire us. When we encountered the colors, heat and other-worldly beauty of the Joshua Tree desert, we knew we'd found something special.

We rented a house, set up a studio, and I went to work, challenging myself to make 100 paintings in two months. And...I did it! Some of the paintings are big and abstract, others are small and representational. All are inspired by the wind, shadows, rocks, cacti, sand, sun and heat that surrounded us during our time in the desert.

Ultimately, my favorite pieces from those two months were the quick sketches I made outside - sitting in our expansive back yard, or on hikes in Joshua Tree National Park. They capture the essence of the quiet little moments I found so precious, and I'm happy to share a few of them with you in the prints for sale here.

I am also excited to donate 50% of profits from the sale of these prints to the Morongo Basin Humane Society and the Mojave Desert Land Trust.
